Belial's extant personality is very much a lie. He makes out that he's a calm and collected individual with a grumpy but understanding attitude, when the reality is that he's a very aggressive and very spiteful old witch. Considering his low rank, he keeps up the act of being a harmless 'young' man with a 'bad upbringing' which has apparently lead him to become a dark witch.
To be honest, though, he's just biding his time. Belial is in fact a tyrannical man with a hatred for Hunters, Guides and Light Witches, despite being the latter in the past, long ago...


History: 
  He grew up an indifferent young Witch, not particularly leaning towards the morals of the Light Witches or the 'evil' of the Dark, but the older he got, the more inclined to the darker side he became. Eventually however, he met his now-deceased wife, a Light Witch, and soon after he himself became a Light Witch too...However, an accident involving humans occurred, sending Belial into a spiteful craze after his wife was killed, and once again he returned to being a Dark Witch.

Years passed of him growing in power, and thus in hatred, but the Council and the High Witch put a stop to it. Belial was cursed to lose his power, returning to Enchanter rank, and was also cursed to lose his adult appearance. Now, the Dark Witch is stuck with this child-liked appearance; not his true self, and is working to regain his powers and self.
